Reggae Roast Jamdown - Brixton por barryfoldout

Qué/Por qué:

In Association With Wray & Nephew Overproof Rum

Reggae Roast are back at Plan B for another killer Jamdown Session – and this is their biggest yet. Due to the success of the last 2 dances they are now taking over the whole venue with one of the toughest line ups ever seen at a Reggae Roast event, including Iration Steppas, Solo Banton, Dubkasm, Manasseh, Ramon Judah and many more… This event is not to be missed!

Headlining are the vanguards of dub, Iration Steppas who will be demonstrating their true might with a typically explosive set. Pioneers of the future dub movement and repping UK sound system culture for over 20 years they have steadily built a reputation as one of the top dubwise power-houses in the world

Dubkasm will then take the stage for what is set to be mystical dubmatic journey. Stryder on the decks, will be playing a combination of old school exclusive dub-plates and new age Steppas, while Digistep adds sweet harmonies on live Sax. Add to the mix guest vocals by the legendary Solo Banton and you are in for one hell of a show!

Solo Banton is instantly recognisable by his gruff, vintage vocal style and is one of the most respected DJ/MCs in the UK today. Next up we have UK production and sound system legend Manasseh. He began his impressive career in the 80’s playing on various sound systems and creating his first productions. He went on to host the seminal weekly Reggae show on Kiss FM for over a decade. Manasseh has helped shape the UK Reggae scene and is now the main producer for Reggae Roast Records.

Also Playing on the night in the main room is Daddy Nature, Jim Moodie and hosts Ramon Judah and Clappers Priest.

Room 2 – A formidable force in Reggae, Hip Hop and Jungle unity: Trinity and Unit 137 will be putting the bass in the Plan B basement!
