A fantastic retreat from busy Shibuya which has friendly staff, modern cool decor and a truly modern Japanese experience.

The food is prepared before you by chefs/bar staff to a high standard and the level of English is great. It’s a mixture of Japanese/Western style food thats offered and I can highly recommend the Quattro Formaggio pizza.

The entrance to the bar makes it look like some kind of S&M club with a PVC wall and feather boas adding to the dark leather lined walls but don’t be fooled by this as it’s a typical Japanese take on cool and trendy. The range of Shochu on offer is great and the staff are always ready to make sugggestions.

As the name suggests, this is a standing bar but many an hour can be spent in comfort in this bar and it does have a VIP area that if not being used, provides some seating.

Every night between 5 and 9 the bar offers half priced drinks on any drink so get there early and it’s very cheap!

If you’re looking for a cool retreat with some crazy Japanese touches (one toilet is lined with old pairs of jeans) then I can highly recommend this place having been a long standing patron.
