Tiger Fish Consulting - Glasgow

16 Boswell Square, Glasgow, Scotland G52 4BQ

Wonderful & not expensive, although you have to pay sometimes to enter. But worthed!!

Castel Sant’ Angelo - Prati

Lungolevere Castello 1, 00193 Roma

05-05-2008

A must see when in Rome, close to the Vatican so once there you can simply walk it over and have a look. If you have a discount from a student card / pension card, make sure you inform them before they cut the ticket (not before you ask them for one) as they will not give you the discount then. Full of art and architecture. Amazing views from the windows and roof terrace.

Piazza del Popolo - Roma

piazza di popolo, Roma

05-05-2008

Actual name - Piazza del Popolo
Named so since the square is for the people (popolo). Nothing much to see though, apart from a few statues on the ends. Very central

Fontana di Trevi - Roma

Piazza di Trevi 9, 00187 Roma

Actual name - Fontana di Trevi
Amazing fountain, couldn’t believe it when I saw it. Massive, and to think that they biult it so many years ago! Simply wonderful

Colosseum - Roma

Piazza del Colosseo, Latium, 00184 Roma

05-05-2008

Now one of the landmarks of Rome and the whole world, a must see when in Rome. Lovely - couples sometimes go after their wedding to take pictures in front of it! A must see!! And the actual name is ‘Il Colosseo’ ;)

Pantheon - Roma

Piazza della Rotonda, près de la Piazza Navona, 00186 Roma

05-05-2008

So much talked about yet not much when you arrive there. First of all you have to happen to be in those days when it is open, as apparently they close it very often. Secondly, they should definitely clean it up at least from the outside as the structure and architecture of the Pantheon is amazing, yet they do not take care of it.

Grabiel - Marsascala

Mifsud Bonnici Street 1, Marsascala

05-05-2008

One of the best restaurants in the area. Not really an Italian and pizza bar, but rather a fish restaurant which serves those specialities also. Good for every day as well as gourmet food since the restaurant is divided into two sections.

Upper Barrakka Gardens - La Valeta

Valletta

05-05-2008

Amazing place, especially on a nice sunny day, where you can just sit, relax, and enjoy a drink with friends, family, or alone. Overlooking the sea and the Grand Harbour - very nice view! Also worth noting that there are the Lower Barrakka Gardens which aren’t mentioned here, but also worth a visit.

Hal Saflieni Hypogeum - Paola

Triq Hal-Saflieni (Burials Street), Paola

A definite see when going to Malta. History starts over here. Other places with similar 'monuments' and 'museums' do not even start with the beauty you can find over here. Highly recommend it. Not sure if you need to book beforehand to be able to go in, so always check online on places like www.visitmalta.com Enjoy it :)

Holland & Barrett - Glasgow

Queens Street, Glasgow, Scotland G1 3ED

Expected a much better selection and organisation in the shop. Is only good for the essentials, and the healthy bars and drinks they have on sale you can buy from the local supermarkets just round the corner at a cheaper price.

Alastair Years ago the animal rights people I knew commented that the parent company owned factory farms, this may not have been true and may not now be true but my point is that it is hard for corporations to recreate that genuine health food shop experience.
