A great place to find a large variety of books to rent. The service is free for most things however a small charge, about 30p for c.d’s. When i first went there i was surprised at the large selection of c.d’s and how many new ones there were. Good to rent out, put onto itunes then return.

A great day out particularly with children. Tickets cost £17 and if you can get over that a great time is there to be had. Personaly i think the childrens petting bit is the highlight, where you’re allowed to stroke the animals but i think everyone has their own favourite animals. At times the smell can be a bit overpowering but it’s to be expected as it’s a zoo. Also not to be missed are the penguins and the reptile house.

Very deep underground Angel tube station has the largest escalator in eastern europe. Aside from that Angel tube is pretty unremarkable, as grubby as any other tube station with equally high prices. There is a nice courtyard round the back of the tube station, and the front of it is a popular meeting place .

A large park found next to finsbury park station. Lots of lovely greenery, a cafe and sports facilities can be found here. e.g. football and rugby pitches, baskettball courts and an athletics track. A few nice ponds and well kempt gardens are also present. A nice place to spend a sunny afternoon, with a picnic from happening bagel bakery.

A large leisure center containin a gym, ice rink, rock climbing walls, trampolines and a large sports hall. The gym is small but has most of the usual equiptment. The ice rink is too dark but it’s the only indoor one nearby. The sports hall hosts a variety of activities and clubs throughout the week including childrens ones at the weekend e.g. badminton and basketball. The cost varies depending on the activity but is very affordable when compared to other locations.

Nice guy who runs the place, lots of friendly chat. Haircuts are reasonably priced (less than £20) and it is not often you have to wait. Located on essex road near Angel tube this barbers specialises in short haircuts.

A wetherspoons pub, however one in a particularly nice building. It’s not the livelyest of places but it has a distinct charm. It’s housed in an old cinema on holloway road and many of the old features have been obtained with lots of movie posters on the walls. As with all wetherspoons drinks are cheap as is the food. A nice pub for a quiet drink.

A smallish venue which puts on several good nights a week. It’s a little grimy and the music can be a bit lame but it is exceptionaly cheap. If you can disreguard the odd rules, e.g. no chewing gum, it’s a bargain especialy wednesdays at a night called cheepskates, entrance is £6 but discounts are available for students and a bottle of beer is £1. To be avoided if you don’t like students.

A large warm pool for children which is quite shallow and a cold large pool for adults dedicated mainly to lane swimming. In school holidays large inflatables are brought out for kids sessions. It is run by aqua terra, a charity and costs £3.70 for an adult to swim and £1.70 for a child although discounts are available for familys .

A nice park surrounding a church quite near pentonville road. A nice spot for picnics in the summer as it has plenty of shade and lots of benches. The playgroundis small but well equipt for younger children. The park is surrounded by pretty georgian terraced houses which are a nice backdrop.
